The Perversity of Human Nature was originally published in 1887.
Ada Cambridge (1844-1926) was born in England, publishing moral tales and verse prior to her marriage in 1870 and migration to Australia. Regular contributions to the Australasian and the Sydney Mail followed with serial works republished subsequently as novels. These novels were seen as mere romance fiction in contrast with nationalist writings of the 1890's but the descriptive and satirical qualities of her writings have lately been more positively assessed.
Ada Cambridge (1844-1926) was an English-born Australian writer, who published more than twenty-five works of fiction, as well as three volumes of poetry and two autobiographical works.
